AK side folder and pistol grip on shotgun?

Here's a whacky idea I'm toying with...

How about a steel adaptor block to allow an AK side folding stock (East German style) to be installed on an 870 or 500A shotgun, along with the AK pistol grip?

I carry my shotgun in my truck a lot of the time and I use a pistol grip for compactness. I DO NOT like to actually shoot w/the pistol grip. It's harder to control and the recoil can be *stout*. I have been desiring a folding stock for some time. All the one's I have seen are quite flimsy and don't impress me much. Some are also quite bulky while at the same time being of low quality.

I would VERY much like to see an AK folding stock (robust/simple/light/strong) on a shotgun. Anyone else think this idea has merit? I'm thinking a simple steel block could be be milled to match the receiver and then the stock could be welded to the block. The block would be drilled/tapped for an AK (or SAW or whatever) style pistol grip.

Crazy, or useable?

I mighta confused you, I want to put an AK stock onto an 870 or 500A shotgun, not a SAIGA shotgun.

Im just curious if anyone else thinks the same setup would be useable?
