A good CLP

So while I am getting ready to buy my first gun, I want to have the equipment to care for it properly.

What is your favorite CLP, and where do you purchase it at?

Eezox. Best CLP I've ever used and is the best for rust protection. I buy it at midway.

Ballistol is great but doesn't clean as good or prevent rust as good as Eezox. I do, however, use it to oil just about everything. Once you get past the horrible smell it works great.

You said that your first gun is in the future, that's great to hear. Just so you know, don't use clp as your only type of lube. When it comes to metal to metal contact such as a slide and frame on a pistol use a good grease not clp. There is not enough protection in clp as it is to thin. Get a good grease for these applications and your firearm will last a life time.

I use to use Break free but switched to Slip2000. Slip2000 doesn't gum up like Break free does.

My favorite lube is not a CLP but only an LP. I dont need a cleaner with my gun lube. I got other chemicals to do the cleaning. Its Break Free LP. It was originaly made for millitary automatic cannons. The heat resistance and sheer is excellent. Its thicker than CLP so it clings good. You can get it just about anywhere.
