Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

Can anyone else recomend a good green laser? Maybe a good bang for the buck option?Comment

Any good laser system on a rifle is going to cost you bucks. Plus the benefits/drawbacks arent that impressive with a rifle mounted laser. If you are .mil and going with a IRD, then thats a different story. The main thing you have to think of is what are you going to do with a laser on a rifle? It washes out in daytime, and night time, what will you really use a rifle for? Self/Home defense? Over-penetration becomes a issue. Can you see far enough at night to utilize the rifle correctly?
Millitiaof1, Viridian makes a really good green laser for the civilian market.Originally posted by Soldier415I am naked except for seatless white chaps, a boonie hat and a tactical vest playing HALO.Originally posted by oaklanderI don't like getting my butt kicked, but I would like to have it spanked by some big hairy guys!Originally posted by ohsmilyI wouldn't put "mounting a weasel" past too many people on this forum.Originally posted by hoffmangGoing after the NFA soon is like asking the girl you just met in the bar if she's into anal sex...

My opinion of lasers is not a good one. Like Stormfeather said, they wash out in the day time and are useless at night. They have their place though...I just don't shoot in the conditions that justify the use of a laser. However, I have a laser on one of my ARs. It's a cheap laser and does not hold zero after two rounds fired. Better quality of lasers work better but cost more. I keep mine on an AR just because chicks think it's cool looking.sigpic
Then, Sir, we will give them the bayonet! (Stonewall Jackson's reply to Colonel B.E. Bee when he reported that the enemy were beating them back. At the first battle of Bull Run, July 1861)
