Actually, yeah it's pretty gratifying. I tend to procrastinate with any other type of cleaning but it just feels so good to have a clean firearm!

I clean my guns when they have to be. I rarely clean them after just one range trip. Bore snake after 2 or 300 rounds unless it is a precision rifle. Detailed cleaning after 5-600 or before a match. Sometimes not even then. Some lube on the slide if it is a semi auto.

It is a mechanical equipment, not a trophy. I have seen a lot of guns ruined by excessive cleaning. Let the thing wear out by shooting through it, not sticking rods and brushes through it excessively.

        I clean mine every time.
Set up the table out in the barn, got the dogs hanging out and keeping me company, got the music turned up. Cold drink nearby.

        Its "Man Cave" time!

I LOVE cleaning firearms. The smell of Hoppes in the air. . . it's all so. . . peaceful.

I usually only shoot 80 rounds through my AR so I clean it maybe every few range trips. I do add oil on the contact points of the BCG before every range trip though.

I haven't cleaned my AR for over 600 rounds.... I clean my handguns on a regular basis though, usually after shooting.

It's definetly relaxing. I pop in a movie, grab a soda and start cleanin'. Maybe I should add some popcorn to the mix?

Ehh, not anymore, I tend to dred the cleaning and it sometimes keeps me from going to the range in the first place. I call it old age.

The movie and a cold drink is ok but I cant see solvent and lubed up hands being any good for a flavoring on your popcorn..
does CLP come in movie butter flavor?

Hey if you guys can come over to my house to clean mine for me, that would be great . I actually don't really enjoy cleaning them, but I hate even more leaving them dirty. Having them be clean the next time I take them out is a great feeling though!
