    Mas Ayoob LFI-1 Class

Prado Shooting Park in Chino California has just informed me that they have a couple of openings in their LFI-1 class scheduled for Feb 22nd thru the 25th.

If you ever wanted to train with one of the top self defense instructors in the USA without traveling back east, this is your chance.

For additional information you can contact the RangeMaster (Jimmy) at 951-712-1096.

Mas is most definitely a legend in his own mind . He does have GREAT info both on how to avoid shooting someone and what you do/don't after a shooting.

The "...top self defense instructors..." thing is definitely arguable; depends on what you need out of the class.

Recommend you do not bring a female companion, language leaves a lot to be desired and very little to the imagination.

    I'm both + and - about Mas after taking lfi-1 & 2.

True wealth is time. Time to enjoy life.

Life's journey is not to arrive safely in a well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy schit...what a ride"!!

For course content I would definitely rate him at the top; nobody else presents this material in the same depth as he does. As far as pistol techniques go, in LFI-1 he presents a solid intro to the fundamentals. He does use salty language which may not be for everyone; the one woman in the LFI-1 class I took didn't seem to mind but I can't say for sure.

        I have to ask....

Not knowing very much about Ayoob, what are his qualifications?

        Military? Police (if police..SWAT??).

I know Ayoob writes a lot but writing about something doesn't mean you know much about it.

Look at HCI, they write about guns all the time, but what they know about firearms they learn from watching too many episodes of the A-team.

Getting back to the subject...I don't mind the harse language, but if I were to pay money for training, I'd want to get it from someone that "has been there and done that".

Mas serves with a Police department in his hometown, and more importantly to the class he is offering, he is considered an expert witness is all 50 states (at least I am not aware of any state where he is not).
His Level 1 class is designed to prepare you for the aftermath of being involved in a lethal shooting. With this in mind his class is without a doubt the finest available. He also teaches his "StressFire" shooting system which is on the same level as what many of the top instructors teach.
