While i may be in the minority, I believe to get a good set of muffs to preserve the kids hearing. I picked up some pro ears electronic muffs for my kids.

If you're really worried then double up, get some foam plugs for her to wear inside the muffs. This will cover her in case the muffs don't cover her ears completely or they move.

The doubled up with the foam plugs are good idea. I think I will try to get her to wear them this week.

Had a heck of a time trying to use plugs. The kids ear channels were not deep enough to hold the plugs in place.

I use the mickey-mouse style earmuffs made by EAR that they sell with the safety equipment at Home Depot for my kids, the 2 year old daughter included

I just use one of those regular ear muffs with the head band adjusted as small as it would go. My daughter likes to hold the muffs with her hands to her ears to reduce the noise so it works for her. Your kids might be different. Also, I found that if the kid's first exposure to a shooting gun is a very loud bang, it will make them like guns less. Make sure they have some sort of hearing protection on, and tell them it's going to sound loud before you fire that first shot.

I double up the kids as well....I have had trouble with the foam plugs as well. Last time out I used the wax style swimming earplugs along with a pair of muffs. They don't come out like the foam ones do.....but they probably arn't as good alone(but at least they don't fall out), so use muffs too.

Dillon carries the Maxx plugs, including a line for smaller ear canals. They might work for kids if you want to double up.
