    Wilkinson Linda 9mm Pistol

I got a chance to see this gun today at my shooting range (Rainbow). I had never heard of this weapon before today (really no big surprise tho since there are a lot I've never heard of)

It belonged to a retired leo who told me that he and some of his fellow leos bought them in the 1960s. He said there weren't that many made so that might explain why it fell thru the cracks of the banned list.

It has a 31 round mag and is a very accurate gun. His 16yr. old grandson was shooting at a metal target 50yrds. away and was hitting it consistently. The owner had just put a Burris scope on it, but it had not been zeroed yet.

Out of curiousity, does anyone here have experience with one or have one.

OBTW, Wilkinson named the pistol after his daughter Linda and the carbine after his daughter Terry. One person on another forum said there was a .22 Sherry also.

The Wilkonson was used in TV and movies quite a bit as I recall.

Browing based mag is an interesting design point.
The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.

        Some lineage here:

        I own it's predecessor, the M80 carbine.

The Linda Pistols and Terry Carbine are accurate, reliable, well made, strong like bull, and have a kooky look about them like you'd expect from early 1970s guns.

Most famous screen appearance I can think of would be in 'Dolemite, The Human Tornado'.
