I want to buy a 18" barrel shotgun with pistol grip/folding stock for home defense. Is it legal or am I dreaming???

Go for it. As long as the barrel is at least 18" and overall length is at least 26". Just make sure you have those features on a pump shotgun and your good (or any non semi-auto shotgun).Insert something clever here. -
