Are you just looking for one target stand? I have a few and could sell you one?

These work great and are cheap to make. I don't even cement all the pieces so they can fit into a bag.

The stands last longer if you aim for the target not the stand.

Dude, get some PVC, and a roll of duct tape from home depot.

Darn, someone beat me to the home depot target stands.

I forgot to mention. I also built one with a cross bar for hanging cans or other objects to shoot.

Seriously... the PVC stands are a great idea and work well, and if you do happen to hit one, replacement parts are cheap.

Depending on how high you want the target (do you want to use a human figure with the top of the head at 6ft?), you'll need to anchor the base if it's windy.
For a low-mounted target, a couple of feet either side on the base is plenty unless it's really blowing.
Grab a few sandbags and just fill 'em with dirt/rocks to anchor the base.

Where can you get IDPA style cardboard cutouts? I always just use boxes that i find and paper, but it would be really cool to have some cardboard cutouts.

I get my IDPA targets from Alco Targets in Duarte (I go through their website).

I don't know about any place to buy them. I would guess the cheapest way to go about it is find a store where you can get refrigerator boxes and cut out your own from a template.

I read on some other forum that someone stapled brown paper (or paper bags?) over targets after they were filled with enough holes where tape wouldn't help.
