John Browning National Holiday / Stamp Petition

It's a petition to make Jan. 23 a national holiday and to make a USPS stamp with J. M. Browning on it.

The stamp idea is good and should have been commisioned a long time ago. Fully agree and if it hasn't been done already (I would have assumed this had already been done) then it should be done immediately.

However, a holiday just for Browning? He was amazing, true, and his inventions were vast in number but not all ecompassing over multiple fields of engineering, and I don't think a national holiday is fitting. Why him and not hundreds of other significant American inventors? Is there a Alexander Graham Bell day? An Eli Whitney day? A Thomas Edison holiday? Well, sort of, and for the same reason we don't necessarily have individual holidays for all of the presidents, there is February 11th (Thomas Edison's birthday) as National Inventor's Day. I guess Browning would be included in that.
