    Am I missing something here?

GunBroker auction for a de-milled Colt M16 reciever... opening bid is $525.00?

What would someone do with a reciever that's been cut in half?

If it's a pre-'86 receiver, I'm guessing you'd buy it, do your NFA paperwork, and send it back to Colt for repairs so you could have your FA M16. I dunno... Just thinking out loud.

Well for one thing its not just any AR15 front half receiver. It looks like the full auto version that the Air Force used in the mid to late 60's.

I'm sure with the correct amount of looking up I would be able to tell but I'm sure the Ted will be along soon and let us all know for sure.

I could use something like that to setup my new PIN design MAG-LOCK.
