Need to install mainspring housing and trigger in Colt Series 80

You don't need a gunsmith to install a MSH and trigger.

I'm not a gunsmith by trade, but would be happy to show you how to do it. Is that a trigger only, or a matched trigger, disconnector, hammer, sear set?

Are you fitting the MSH, or just replacing a factory one with some other drop-in one?

I want to replace the plastic MSH with a metal flat one. Also replace the plastic
trigger with a metal adjustable one. I don't have the parts yet and would appreciate recommendations there too.

MSH - Do you want smooth, scalloped, or checkering?

Trigger - It depends on what design you want. Check out Brownells - almost anything there will be great and suitable, just figure out if you want a long, short, curved, flat, skeletonized, cross-drilled, or solid. It'll mostly be aesthetics (except for the short or long length)

I'm going to have them cut the slide and install Novak sights, bevel the magwell, install a new trigger, MSH, and refinish the gun.

Might be cheaper to buy a SA fully loaded so I'll find out. Even if I had the skill I doubt if I have the patience for that kind of work.
