SHTF bug out bag, what to put in it?

Been reading about having a backpack packed and ready to go. Met a guy and he had one in his car, just in case.
My question is, what to put in it, besides ammo.

    I am guessing:
    Water,
    some food products,
    what else?

Be sure to pack a lucky rabbit's foot, lucky Scott.
      God, grant me the serenity

And the wisdom to know the difference.

lol somewhere in there it talks about this being a "master" list, and you get to decide what is important to you. Also there is a fuzzy difference between B.O.B and SHTF situations. BOB= bug out (3-14 days ish) SHTF (think much longer) so that plays into it as well. But yea way to plan! I got mine sitting in my closet at this moment

Not that I am any kind of expert, but in my opinion, I have a lighter version of the BOB in my mind. I want something I can put in the trunk of my car and carry on my back if need be. In a long term situation I hope to be at home hunkered down.
The BOB is to carry with me so I have some crucial supplies if need be.
I want to set one up for my wife as well. She also needs some comfortable shoes so she doesnt need to hike around in high heels.

That list will help me pick out what is important.

I figure, gotta carry ammo anyway, why not add some more stuff you would wish you had.

I went to a neighbors cabin and filled up the back of our truck with less stuff than that. Definitely need to par down the list to a bag of what you think you'll need to bug out.

All of our cars have an Earthquake Kit in the trunk. Not so much as a B.O.B but it can save your life or others. I just need to add a gun to each pack. Like a buddy of mine once told me, "I just need enough stuff to get me from wherever I am, back home, in order to get my family and my stuff." He works in San Francisco and home is San Mateo, approximately 40-50 miles if you're humping it via street level.
I'm not having a glass of wine, I'm having SIX. It's called a tasting and it's classy.

Dunno about a SHTF bag but I have a backpack full of the everyday stuff you always need but don't have.

Immodium is on the top of the list.
