I found out today our emergency kit, stored in a rubbermaid container, was soaked last week when we had that 1 day of hard rains. I took out some 12 Ga Remington slugs I had in the kit and the primers and brass bases looked OK after drying, but the top of the lead slugs showed some whitish corrosion. Would you shoot this ammo if it was yours? I have to admit my Remington 1100 isn't an heirloom gun, but I hate to shoot suspect ammo down the barrel. On the other hand, I hate throwing out ammo.
