    Q: On rifle scope export

    Do you guys know by chance which rifle scope brands need export licences if any? Or does it only apply to night vision and thermal imaging hardware?

    Ah, more fun with ITAR: the only laws more confusing than CA gun laws.
    From the USML:
    Riflescopes manufactured to military specifications, and specifically designed or modified components therefor
    Most hunting scopes would probably be just fine, ACOGs and that sort of thing might be problematic.

    Edit:
    If OpticsPlanet sells it they usually do a good job noting whether they consider that particular scope an ITAR product or not.
