Monsterman, please make a grip for this!

Hmmm... Maybe I can just go gripless in the meantime.

          linked ammo = fixed mag?

I heard from a FFL that belt-linked ammo is considered a fixed mag. I think you're good to go so long as you don't link more than 10 rounds together. Anyone want to chime in on this?

BTW, if someone has linked ammo greater than 10 rounds, how can it be proven that the ammo was not linked prior to 2000? A stamp on the ammo can? Suppose there is no ammo can?

It's people like you that drive the CA DOJ nuts. Congrats!

I've come to the realization that maybe 10% of FFL's in CA know what they're talking about. Whomever told you that is VERY wrong. Belted ammo (regardless of quantity) + Pistol grip + semi-auto centerfire = Felony.

              A detachable magazine is:
              (a) "detachable magazine" means any ammunition feeding device that can be removed readily from the firearm with neither disassembly of the firearm action nor use of a tool being required. A bullet or ammunition cartridge is considered a tool. Ammunition feeding device includes any belted or linked ammunition, but does not include clips, en bloc clips, or stripper clips that load cartridges into the magazine.

If you get the M60D with the spade grips, the flash hider would be legal.

With a newly designed grip, you would need to remove the flash hider.

How do you figure that? It's still got a detachable magazine. Are you attempting some C&R reproduction ninjitsu here?

I think this would apply regardless... but I'll be quite happy to be proven wrong.
