It is incredibly ignorant to suggest that the use of that term to describe a gay person was in reality just calling the guy a "bundle of sticks" or anything but a derogatory slur.

If you want to "embrace" such terms, go somewhere else, as they are not allowed here. Do not continue posting such slurs, or you will be given a suspension, or banishment from Calguns.

My reply was neither ignorant, nor derogatory... but rather an attempt at humorous reinforcement of radioactivelego's gay friend's sentiment. By calling ourselves (themselves) by the offensive term(s), we help to defeat their power over us.

I prefer constitutional-right-partaker-in-er. Actually I'm fairly liberal myself (as someone else wrote) and people are generally surprised to find out an atheist democrat also happens to be a gun owner. Once you use 'em, and realize how fun they are, suddenly a whole new world opens up.

When I started shooting, my mom was totally paranoid. My dad and her are divorced, and when I told her he bought two guns she flipped out. Then I took her shooting, and now we go every few weeks and she's prepared to buy a handgun So gun nuts we may be, but there might just be a little gun nut in all of us.
