    Slug gun info wanted

Looking to buy a slug gun soon.

Got plenty of shotguns, I want a dedicated slug gun mostly for hunting.

If you hunt with slugs or use a dedicated one at the range or elsewhere regularly please tell me about your preferences.

If you have plenty of shotguns, why not just pick up a slug barrel for one of them? Most semis and pump can be fitted with an extra slug barrel some with cantilever scope mounts for half the cost of a new shotgun. You can get a fully rifled barrel or a barrel that takes rifled choke tubes
I picked up a scope mount and barrel for my 11-87 so now it can do anything that I want it to.

I'm using "I don't have a slug gun", as a reason to buy another shotgun.

        Frank,
Can I get a link to the scope mount you have on your 11-87? I have a Tasco el-cheapo that I will not even try to mount (holes look off by about 1/8 inch).

        To the OP,
Frank is right, the new barrel is all you really need. I did exactly what Frank did and now have a nice case they all reside in.

        Regards,
        Mike

if you have the money for a whole new gun then you should really look into the barrel and scope option. it will give you more money for a great scope. instead of maybe just a good scope.

I don't planning on scoping a shotgun, ever.

I just got a slug barrel for my Benelli but havent used it yet. Need it for the lead free zone. Would also like to here some preferences on guns and ammo.

I dunno, I've never been much for guns. I mean, sure, we have the usual gun by the door, another near the TV, one in the kitchen, and another in the bedroom...and several others laying around. For the most part though, we keep our home free of guns. We are peace loving folks.
