winchester model 70 with a 780100 serial number not mine but around there is it a pre 64 only thing i know is i got a good deal even if its not but want to know heres some crappy pics

That does not look like a pre-1964 Winchester Mod 70. The pre-64s had cut checkering and most telling, they had the Mauser style rotating claw extractor which is clearly visible alongside the bolt body. Your pictures show pressed in checkering on the stock and the bolt does not have the correct extractor. It is definitely a post 1964 model 70.

The rifle pictures are of a post-64 pushfeed Winchester. The bolt does not have the claw extractor, which you can plainly see on a Pre-64 even with the action closed.Frank
