Q: What kind of firearm is this?

Hi,
I was watching Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatro the other day (pretty dreadful anime which is likely why it's taking so long to watch the series) and saw this piece on the wall. Unlike most anime, GG does a pretty good job with modeling weapons that actually exist in real life. I'm usually pretty good at discerning what the pistols are (I caught a TMP9 in one episode) but this one stumped me.

It's a Franchi LF-57 submachine gun

I'm a big fan of the series I have both on DVD and all 11 volumes in japanese of the comic. Plus other stuff.

The second series went way down hill animation wise since their budget was severly slashed. That's why the details on the firearms and characters don't look as pretty. And the fact they changed a few things vs the manga this time around which really pissed me off.
