Ammo prices just jumped at WalMart

ah well, this is just the beginning of the price hikes

I wish in Alameda county we had to deal with a price hike. They don't even sell ammo in there Alameda county stores amymore.

going to park FAR away from central weirdo entrance, parking by the garden center, proceed inside garden center, hook a right at the toys, buy remainder of decent ammo and decent prices, and exit without getting eaten by any of the whales there

I just picked up some Winchester 45 100 packs at Milpitas for 26.97 before tax. Not to long ago they were just under $20.00 before the rape tax. Still cheaper than some places.

Daaaayum, I also remember not too long ago they were $19.97, then went up to $22 or $23, and now nearly $27????

Glad I splurged on the reloading setup recently.

Hate to say it but raising the prices a bit is a good sign as it would seem to indicate someone is still in charge of ammo and that Sir Wally intends to keep it in the store.

HaHa I do the same exact thing. I park right by the garden entrance far away from the main entrance. Go through the garden area through the toys and right to the ammo counter.

If I had to go in the main entrance and wait in the regular checkout lines I would sooner by ammo at the local gun shop.

i always pay at the hunting counter. i think today's trip was less than 5 min. "give me your last 3 boxes of 223 and 3 boxes of 12/7.5 shot shells"

I park next to the bays, like I'm going to have them work on my car or something. I walk in through the garage doors, and through the door that leads to the service counter. Sporting Goods is only 20 paces away from there. Buy my rounds, pay at the counter there, and Boom! In and out.

i finally figured what wally world is... i thought it was a whole new superstore... of course it did not help going to www.wallyworld.com any wally worlds in north orange county that sell ammo besides shotgun ammo

My bad. I was thinking the Milpitas store was in Alameda County. It's actually in Santa Clara County.

You're lucky someone is at that counter.

At the Mountain View store, they used to have a clerk who couldn't figure out why you'd want to buy ammo.

I'd ask for some, and they looked at me like a cow with a learning disability and asked "why?" Didn't actually try to give me the ammo until I asked another few times.

What's fun is when they ask you how many boxes you want, and you say, "How many you got?", and they tell you, "Oh, about 15 or 20", and you say, "Excellent! I'll take 'em!", and they look up from where they are kneeling down there in front of the glass case, and give you that "look"' -- which is a mixture of disbelief, puzzlement, irritation, and bewilderment, all wrapped up in one, and they go: "Huh? You want ALL of them?!?!"

Heee-heeeee! That's right, gimme all them damn things!
