Went over to the automotive section, and on the way back, there was a new person at the ammo counter, so I had them get 6 boxes each again. I'm done leaving any for the other guy, because the next guy is just going to hoard it all. It's every man for himself now, game on.
        Total score
WWB 45 acp 100 rnd. value packs- 10, total of 1000 rnds.
Remington 550 22lr bulk pack- 20, total of 11000 rnds.
WWB 9mm 100 rnd. value packs- 6, total of 600 rnds

The 1000 rounds of 45 and the 600 of 9mm isn't exactly hoarding. It is the amounts most people on this board buy at a time. The 11,000 rounds of 22lr on the other hand are going to make your eyes blurry from trying to see all those little holes you punched into paper.

What is Walmart charging now for the ammo? Have they cut prices now that the ammo manufacturers are catching up or is Walmart still increasing the prices?

The ATF guy *is* the only one professional enough to handle a gun on that driveway.

                It's a mini-14, it'll still miss the Sheriff officer.

I believe the problem was having slightly over the legal limit of black powder.

Not sure if he got out of jail yet.

Fill the tank with gas tonight (8:30 PM) at Costco in Santee. Decided to check the ammo case at Walmart across the street. When I got to the locked ammo display case, I joined three other guys already there, staring at empty shelves.

Several brief comments were made including the signing of the ammo bill today. I think the whole ammo circus is going to get worst IMHO.

He cut a deal where the AW charges were reduced to misdemeanors. They still hit him hard for all the powder he was hoarding, with felony explosives charges.

Oh yeah, and they demolished his house after they discovered the tunnel underneath where he kept his food and water stash. I feel sorry for the guy. He's 60 something and now he's homeless (after he gets out of prison).

All the shops around here seem to have a pretty steady supply of ammo...besides Walmart. Everybody hits Walmart because you save, oh I don't know--about half the price! Of course people are going to horde from Walmart. There's not one person on this board that wouldn't grab ammo if they saw it on the shelf when walking through. Waking up early and staying up late to grab a shipment...that's more of a thrill then anything. It's like going hunting--and actually killing something. When local gun shops are charging $20 for 50 rds of Wolf you can sign me up to buy at Walmart any day. Truth of the matter is, if you aren't buying it, somebody else is.

Is this the guy in Riverside that had large containers of cooking oil catch on fire and the fire department found his ammo stash? What is it with survivalists and cooking oil? Do they deep fry everything?

                            It's not just for cooking.

                            Other SHTF uses:

-Case lube for when you run out of that PLUS the million rounds you've hoarded.
-Lube for the harem you'll accumulate in post-apocalyptic America.
-Fuel for making signal fires to communicate with your neighbors.
-Currency for trading as non-survivalists run out of their measly supplies.
-Good for spreading on skin prior to fighting in Thunderdome to keep one's opponent from grabbing you.
-Can be used as a laxative, which you'll need after weeks of eating all that rice and beans you've hoarded.
-Can be mixed with diesel to run a primitive generator for electricity.
-Can be used to loosen a tightly fitted

I'm sure there's more. That's just what comes off the top of my head.

only cause it violates building code. now if you get it approved by the local building inspector and such, then go dig away
