You won't be able to have the stock on a pistol.

That is actually a CAA cheekrest that is attached to the tube - technically that is legal, but there is a lot of debate around how open that leaves you to arrest (but probably not prosecution, ten thousand dollars in defense bills later.)

You could probably get something like this side-charging upper and a 7.5 inch barrel and build (or have someone build) your upper... like ar15barrels, actually.

Oh - also make sure you have an AR pistol lower in your possession before you obtain all this stuff. There are constructive possession laws for SBR's in CA. It would be illegal for you to have this upper without a pistol lower.
