Already registered. Got my media pass invite last month.

Unless things have changed since last year, active duty military can attend. I know NRA Certified Instructors can attend as well (at least, in the past, including last year).

Last item on the SHOT Show validation list:

Other appropriate documentation that clearly demonstrates, as solely determined by show management, you or your company is affiliated with the shooting, hunting or outdoor trade or the military, law enforcement or tactical markets

I've run into several military personnel who weren't there with any company, and only there as attendees.

I've bought stuff from LaRue & Badger Ord at SHOT before. Usually on the last day the display stuff is for sale, cheap.
