Let me start by saying, "I'll be attending either the Elk Grove, or the Modesto dinner."$20 will get you $20 in NRA money
Now... why would I bother to buy NRA money if they have the same value as actual dollars? Just seems like a waste of time, paper, effort, etc. There has got to be some benifit of the NRA money, otherwise, I think the commitee is misappropriating their funds.-A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.*

Jager- we are not "misappropriating" funds. The purpose of the NRA money is so that one person handles the cash, checks, CC's instead of it being spread out over many people.

I was at Benning for basic and now I am at Fort Gordon for AIT. I am stuck here until sometime in January.
I heard from Joan that the dinner went well. Hopefully this next event goes well. It sounds like fun.
As of right now, I am getting stationed in Hawaii so I wont be helping with the dinners or anything for awhile. Hopefully I will be home for one of them so I can win another gun.Comment

Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...
I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.
Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.

Unless it is different than Modesto's, they sold tickets at the door. It was not sold out.
My description of the Modesto Event is under that post. I won one raffle, my neighbor won a M1A and a raffle for a $1000 gun.
Anybody know what dealer is supplying the guns? In Modesto is was Alquist in Turlock.Comment
