    Another Ab962 question

If this law passes (Hope not)
How does that effect owners of rifles that are chambered in 9mm,45, ect
I would think you could ask for (Example) 9mm rifle ammo for (AR 9mm or
    Marlin Camp rifle 9mm).
I don't know if this has been covered. What do you guys think?

Although many traditional "pistol" ammunitions such as 9mm and .45acp can be used in rifles, they still will likely be prohibited, as they are primarily pistol rounds.

Many retailers I suspect will outright stop ALL ammo sales to California when this becomes law. Some do it out of ignorance, some will do it out of stupidity, and some will do it for liabilities sake. I do not blame them.

We will be lucky if .22lr ammo and other "borderline" ammo is still allowed.

It seems to rely on whether a cartridge is primarily a handgun cartridge or primarily a rifle cartridge. So 9mm is handgun, .223 is rifle, .22lr is unclear.
