bought a gun cabinet on here - now im making it better

Bought this cabinet from someone on the forum for only $20 dollars! A great deal for a so/so firearms cabinet. It looks like it was someones wood shop project at some point but its solid and with a little work it's coming along great. And you can't beat the price.

I think initially it had glass in the doors but it probably broke and was replaced with this like metal thatching... it looked like a quick fix but it came out easy.. : )

After filler and some sanding I just finished primering it. I'll post up more pictures as it comes along.

I like it! Don't forget to keep taking pics and keep us updated.

    Great inspiration

It's coming along so/so... Since it was originally homemade a lot of the wood is aging and doesn't fit as well as I probably could have made it but meh, it's just for fun really.

Looks good! So what will you do with it?? I would be worried about storing ANY firearms in a cabinet like that for fear of theft. Unless I had a vault room or something I wouldn't keep anything valuable in there.

Did you forget to put newspaper down on the garage floor before painting it?

j/k man, looks like it was a fun project.

Good job - I especially like the replacement of the confessional screen with glass.
