What im saying is when zombies attack and you can only carry 3 weapons what would they be? close range meaning mostly pistol then a medium range meaning a rifle of some sort then long and you know that mean precision errrrr anyways you get it heres mine (oh yeah try and be Cal legal lol)

Close .40 cal USP (best stopping with vel)

First of all if SHTF and zombies come who the hell cares about being CA legal? And for close range combat you failed to mention the #1 zombie weapon, the 12 gauge! I would go with my 870, Glock 19, and AR15. High capacity or should I say normal capacity magazines in full effect

Up close a good .40 is good.
up to 100 yards a bolt action in .17.
and for the loong shot how about a good old 20 mm anti tank rifle.
