20 yards, 170g cast SWC over 15.5g W296. S&W 627-0
I shot the smile with DA rapid fire and when I saw the start of a face, I took my time and did the eyes and nose. Probably never be able to do it again.
Didn't start out to do it, but once it was apparent, I went for the finish.Igitur qui desiderat pacem, praeparet bellum.Comment

Well, dang, Destry ... you outshot me agin!
Hadn't been at the pistol range in about 96 days, so was pleasantly surprised to see I could still find the target with my 1911. Shot from 15 yards. Fired six rounds (since I'm running low on .45 ammo and I was fairly tuckered out by then). First two shots were right below the bullseye. Couldn't believe how effortless it was to fire them. Then the next two shots went -- Oops! -- wide, high and very low and not even close to the target. Took a few slow breaths and exhaled slowly to compose myself, then fired off the final two rounds, which bookended the first two.
Then I called it quits.x
