    OLL Legality catching on

    Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, in Oceanside, is now selling off list lowers in the All Seasons Store in 13 Area, Main Side.

    While the base is considered a federal reservation and guys have personal weapons not normally sold in California, those weapons can only be removed from the base if they are in compliance with California laws or are being sent out of state... Government weapons being the exception.

    Because of this weapons sold in stores on military bases in California must be in compliance with California law.

    Often the MC Base gun store is more strict. For example, they follow the CA DOJ approved handgun list, but do not allow anything with less than a 4" barrel to be sold on the base.

    The fact that they are finally selling OLL on base is amazing.

    They are going like hot cakes. I went in the store with a buddy that bought one. While we stood there two more guys came in and bought a couple.

    Hopefully they keep it up.

      You know, I was thining about 30 minutes ago, when I first joined Cal guns not that long ago, I kept hearing alot about the older/newer court cases. In the last 6 months I have seen cries for help plummet. What a great outreach/resource/educational org Calguns has been

          We at CGF try to jump on things:
          (1) where we can help [some situations are unfixable / client is radioactive];
          (2) when we hear about something in proper time.

          Yes, you're noting drama about OLL vs AW subsiding. That's because of a lot of separate things coming together:

          - CGF handling ~20 cases: burned DA time/energy =>not going anywhere;
          - materials getting over to LEO side like Sacto PD OLL memo;
          - 200K? 300K? more? OLL rifles/receivers in CA.
          - black rifles every weekend at ranges throughout California.

            +1 - OLLs going mainstream!

                Actually if they go mainstream those lazy arse news people who do not know how to write a good news story will instead stumble upon another "GUN LOOPHOLE" as they like to call any legal and lawful possession of firearms and go the easy route of writing "I am in fear, run in circles, scream and shout, the sky is falling" story as they can knock one of those stories out in just a half an hour and then have the other 7 1/2 hours in the day left to screw off.

                This will inevitably result in other lazy arse news people copying that story as their own since copying only takes 5 minutes thus realizing 7 hours and 55 minutes of phook off time.

                This will lead to loud boring speeches by the gun grabber kooks and more lazy arse news stories. The next thing you know there will be the annual effort to ban these which will continually be beaten back every year, but just like the camel who gets his nose in the tent, eventually one year the ban will get passed (you find the camel sleeping in your bed).

                So going mainstream is not always a good thing. Sometimes its best to enjoy a GOD GIVEN AND FOUNDING FATHERS AGREED TO RIGHT quietly without the rest of the herd.
