Tommy Lee Jones & the 1911

I think that Tommy Lee Jones is a terrific actor. I recently rented his most recent movie In The Electric Mist and I noticed that he carried a 1911. Then I remember that in a couple of his other recent modern genre movies (The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada / No Country for Old Men) he also carried a 1911. In both No Country and Electric Mist he played a lawman and also used the same type of holster in both movies as well. One interesting observation is that the promo poster (and DVD cover) for Three Burials shows him with a six gun but he never uses a six gun in the movie.

Anyway, it got me to thinking that perhaps Mr. Jones is a gun person and has something to say about what sidearm he is shown using in his roles.

Ugly, not glamorous but they work--Glocks. Now about Spotted Dick, a British dessert w/raisons--hence the spots.

                      He lives in Texas...

Of course he is a "Gun" person. There are more guns than people in TX.

I don't think Tomy Lee Jones had much input in gun choices. More like fitting into the era.

Not to be confused with Freckled Arse. A British entree.
