I know that usually Tri-fecta combos have a ar-15 , but hey I live in Ca.

You got 2/3 of it right.

I view a perfect trifecta as a pistol, rifle and a shotgun.

You did well with a 1911, as well as a 870. However, those two choices both wouldn't be my choices for the 1911 (I would either go for a SA PRO, WC CQB, LB CC, or a full custom 1911) or a 870 Wingmaster or Police.

As for the 460 revolver, well, I find it unpractical and should be subbed for a good rifle. In CA, this would be either a M1A or M14 since it can use detachable magazines and it's the closest you can get to a full battle rifle. A OLL AR, AK, PTR-91, or FAL would also fill in the role nicely. As well as a Garand or a nice bolt action rifle. All these would have more use than a big bore revolver.

Your are right " Black Majik" but I just really wanted a handCannon in my aresonl. I think I am leaning towards a Springfield Socom 16.

The shotgun and Kimber are fine. I don't care for the flashlight on the 1911. Your S&W would need to do rifle duty. Swap that out for a rifle.... a good bolty that can be reloaded quickly (K31, Enfield, etc.) or the best semi auto you can get your hands on and run well.

I like the passport and submariner.

You can do without a shotgun more than you can without a rifle. Rifle is your primary weapon. Handguns are sidearms/secondary weapons; a second handgun gains you really nothing.

As it's already been said, you are missing a key component of the tri-fecta of firearms.

I also live in CA and I have more than one AR.

BTW, when the SHTF who gives a rats behind about what is or is not legal. Every man woman and child for themselves.

As far as your pistol, I would go with something that has a high round count and lots of stopping power. I'm not saying your choice of round is wrong, I just would not personally be caught with a single stack when the chips are down.

More rounds = more ability to defend.

Think of it this way. Would you run 10 round mags in your AR if you had the choice during a situation that required your expertise? Hmm, probably not. Why would you limit yourself in the handgun realm?

Your choice in shotguns is admirable. I prefer a semi-auto but for reliability you cannot beat the pump.

You need a battle rifle. The rifle is your primary weapon. The pistol is a backup weapon, and the shotgun is a specialty/CQ weapon.

the Remmy and Kimber are nice though. Get a semiauto rifle/carbine and you'll be good to go.

I do not have a "battle rifle".
