So is it rod and reel only or is there gun stuff too? Doesn't seem that way from the description.

From what I understand, several of the NRA members councils will have members running a bb gun range for the kids.

I was there yesterday, the only gun you will see are the ones that are being raffled. Hunting section is'nt as big as last year and the year before. Seem like hunting section is getting smaller. Fly and general fishing seem to be the major affair in the show.
Nevertheless, I did book an Elk and Bear hunt in Saskatch. this coming Fall.

Yeah, just came back. This year's show is smaller than previous ones, not just the hunting section but the flyfishing one as well. Looks like they may have added an extra indoor flycasting pool just to fill up some space (I seem to remember only one in previous years ). Also, some of the major flyfishing manufacturers didn't seem to have shown up this year (e.g. Sage).

NRA Alameda did have an airgun range set up in the youth section, and CA Fish and Games has an upland games simulator set up that looked pretty cool. I want one for my living room!

I saw the ocean kayaks there and the pictures of people who fished from a kayak. I didn't know anyone would want to fish from a kayak, but apparently some do.
