Hi All,
I'm headed up to Mammoth this weekend to do some fishing and want to bring along a couple of guns and do some informal shooting with my son.
I'm looking for an area where I can do some rifle shooting (legally of course) that's not on an organized range.
I used to shoot clays out on the Owens in the valley a long time ago, but I don't know if that's still OK.
We'll be camping in Mammoth and driving to different lakes, so anywhere between Bishop and Bridgeport will work.
I know there is a range/club North of Bishop but I don't know if it's private or open to the public. That would be the last resort (if it's public.)
Oh, and I do have 4x4, but would want easier spots as it's the wife's Jeep GC
(my Jeep is still in pieces..)
