Looking for some help putting a class together in Norcal

After a suggestion from some calgun members, we would like to put a Tacical Medicine class together in norcal.
We had an awesome time in San Diego, and the calgunners in attendance seemed to enjoy and benefit greatly from the course.
Sadly, I have no contacts in Northern California. I am looking for someone to help us promote and lock on a location to teach the course. As compensation for your assistance, your class fees will be on us. If you are interested and can help, please shoot me a pm.

OK, i'm sorry and i'm not trying to thread crap here so don't take it as that, but what the heck is "tactical" medicine??? Is it in situations where combat would be taking place, ninjas jumping around or what exactly is it? I just see the word "Tactical" used so frequently that it just frustrates me.

No problem brother. Tactical medicine is medicine performed under fire and its subdivision is wilderness medicine. Essentially it is medicine that is performed by medics and trained personnel away form a hospital setting. Tactical medicine has officially been around since the late 60's. Its is a a subbranch of military medicine. In the 90's official doctrine such as TCCC was established by SOMA. Hope that clears things up for you.

If it's anywhere near the SF Bay Area, I'd be interested to check it out!

thanks brother, I am trying to avoid bringing in another training company since their are intellectual property issues that tend to arise. Also, for what I charge for the class, my profit margin is extremely minimal. When you bring in another company they expect to be reinbursed also...and I really cant afford that without significantly increasing course fees.

I have a friend that arranges meetings and get togethers on Treasure Island San Francisco. I will run this buy her and see how much it might cost to rent a hall.

How many people do you usually train a session?

The course would most likely be for 10 people because of logistical reasons(most of my fellow instructors are currently deployed). Typically for 10 people we utilize 2-3 instructors and 3-5 actors that are placed in moulage for the practical.

No prerequisets for the class. If I can find a venue, I would like to put it on Nov 3rd. The cost is $250 for the one day class. IT is a great value considering we always allow any paid student to bring in a family member at no cost.

Need a space that we can do powerpoint presentations in(we have our own proxima) and a place to have an outdoor practical application that we can make a bit of noise at.
