Lubricant Question? How good is Corrosion X?

I went into Turners the other day to buy some grease for my Glock. When I was talking to the employee he recommended this lubricant called Corrosion X. Anyone here use it? or Had any experiance using it? Any feedback is welcome and would be helpful. I normally Just use CLP. Now Im considering Gun Butter for my glock but wonder how good this stuff is for everything else.

I guess that no one has tried this lube and I haven't either. I have looked at a lot of posts in other forums and wed sites and a lot of them seem to like this stuff, Slide-Glide

I have ordered myself some and am gonna give it a try. He makes good points and it seems to be tacky enough to do the job.

And yes the CLP is way to thin for use on pistol slides particularly for full metal frame pistols. I am sure this will work for you.

Sorry I couldn't help with your question on that particular lube but maybe this helps you find one that does the job.

I figured as much , That no ones used it. Well It sucks Im taking it back. Not only does it not have aplication instructions it smells like old motor oil. Runs like crazy. My CLP atleast clings to the metal. I tried it on my .308 bolt action. Sounded like it was rubbing metal to metal. Cleaned it all off and applied my CLP, Back to normal. I hate when they recommend junk.

I got some Gunzilla today seems pretty interesting... Works like CLP supposidly but repels dirt unlike some of the other that dirt sticks to.

There is alot of cool stuff coming out... Not trying to crap I wanted to add to your quest.

corrosionX is awsome. I have never used it on a gun; however I use it on all kinds of other stuff.

Corrosion X is a protectant more than a lubricant. I use it on saltwater rods and reels. If you use it on your gun do it outside and be prepared to leave it in the garage until all the volatiles boil off. Corrosion X stinks to high heavens when it's freshly applied and will stink for a couple of days at least.

Corrosoion X is good but EEZOX is the best for corrosion. Also notice CLP Breakfree is 3rd.

Test of best rust-proofing products for corrosion protection, anti-rust, tool and gun storage. Breakfree, Break-Free CLP, Corrosion-X, Corrosion X, Eexoz, FP-10, FP10, Sheath, Mobil 1, Militech, Rem-Oil, Rig, Grease, Cosmoline, Slip 2000, Tetra tested. Salt spray tests on rust preventatives. Also dessicants, goldenrod, Vapor, Bore-Store silicon bags for storage. 6mm BR Benchrest precision shooting. Load Data, Message Boards, Dies, gunsmiths. Reloading, shooting, hunting, and varminting.

If you are looking for just a gun oil. I find Hoppes Elite and MPro7 to be effective, well priced, and easy to get.
