Dare I say it...terrific service from Vulcan

Some of you may have heard of Blackthorne Products, which is another Vulcan spinoff. Their site is full of cheapo $200-300 AR uppers which most of us wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole. But they also have AK parts kits. The kit I wanted was the Yugo M90 .223, a kit that sells for around $450 from most places, and Blackthorne had it for $365. So I figured I'd take a chance with them. I placed the order on 12/30, and was pleasantly surprised to receive a UPS tracking number on the next day (New Year's eve). Eight days later, this arrives at my door:

I got exactly what was pictured on the site; a shiny kit in exellent condition! Matching numbers, cool flip-up night sights, and 99% finish condition! No tricks of any sort, just a sweet .223 AK waiting to be built. I can't say for sure that Vulcan has changed their ways, but I do know that they did a great job on this order. Great price, quick service, great item.

Thick cosmoline though, the dust cover looked like a small trough full of pudding.

vulcan is more like a guy working from his kitchen table than a business, I forget his name but I have had several dealings with him. seems like he is an amature gunsmith that is far more interested in his hobby than his business but has to take care of business in order to support his hobby, guns

if he had somthing I wanted I would deal with him again
