The M40 rig is a 308 that's a 7.62Nato equivalent. Went clean through the test cell.

Its pretty clear the 223 isn't all that....not even close. But I never suspected it was.

Depends, though. Are they comparing super-duper +p+ "let's try and close up the gap" rounds, or standard FMJ ammunition in both?

Given standard FMJ ammo, and not using performance ammo, I'd think the 45acp would win.
