I think he was trying to impress the girl.....and really lucky the guy with the gun didn't shoot him...he came right up on the guy and he didn't even pull the trigger....either no ammo or dummy gun or the gun was an empty threat....either way glad the thief got his butt kicked and no one else got hurt...

Looks like the guy saw it was a BB gun or something because he started laughing like it was a joke, then beat the crap out of the kid robber. He was sitting on the counter like "Are you serious, you better leave"

The only fly in the robbing ointment was the hold up guy's gun looked a little wrong.
1. Very small.
2. Black except for around the muzzle which was still see through green with a white squirt gun tip.

Yes, it was a small squirt gun painted black.

I will assume it's not a set up for the sake of argument. I am going to have to go with stupid. Dude, give him the money. Why risk getting shot? Or more likely you don't get shot but your colleague does. Even if it's a BB gun, you don't know if he has a knife on him or if he has AIDS or Hep B, C. In a fist fight I can almost guarantee your knuckles will be raw and there is a good chance you will end up getting the robbers blood on you. To quote the overquote but accurate phrase "You have nothing to gain and much to loose."
