The list must be pretty old. It says Long Beach PD carries .38 Spl revolvers. Just recently, I saw LBPD LEOs carrying Kimber 1911s.

For some reason, I don't think Kimber 1911's are going to be department issue weapons.

I knew there was a reason I liked the local PD.

There is definitely some very old information there.

I had to deal with the OPD before I moved to Vista once, and they were carrying semiautos, not revolvers. Don't remember what model, didn't get a good look, but it was definitely NOT a revolver.

Issued=old stuff they no longer hand out.
Issues=current arms they hand out today.

If you look, most of the revolvers are under the Issued category, meaning they don't use it anymore except some of the older officers who started their carreer when they still did. Also, the list is obviously incomplete. Some departments are not listed. e.g. El cajon PD isn't listed even though they are one of the larger departments in San Diego County. Chula Vista is listed, La Mesa PD isn't, etc. Still an interesting look at what is out there.
