    FFL Poll

How many people have gotten their FFL03 (or 01) since the whole OLL thing started?

I'm just curious how many FFL holders this whole thing brought into the state.

ah, for those of you that marked " I don't want the government to have my info", They already have your info. I would be willing to bet that not one of you have all your weapons paperless. You bought a handgun, in the last fifteen years, it's registered. The gov.org has your name.
I didn't vote in the poll, because you don't have a category for thinking about getting one.

My 80% AK build is paperless.

        I would get a FFL03 but unfortunately I'm not 21 yet...

No, but I've got a couple. And I'd rather not give them EASY access.

So what does a FFL03 (C&R, correct?) do with regards to an OLL?

I sent my app in a couple weeks ago but didn't know it would do any good for an OLL...

                Regards,

Well first off its not only about the gov having your info in the case of a 01 FFL its about your life being a open book to a BATF or California DOJ monkey.

That can come around any time they please. and if your licensed premises is attached to your place of residence they can have access to the whole house.

and if its not and you store your inventory in your home and its not at your licensed premises then you can get nailed for that as well.

And in the matter of paperless weapons sure if this state is the only place you acquire weapons or you don't own any that you have previous to 1991 that may be correct. But keep this in mind we border 3 states that have no P2P restrictions what so ever.

That means its entirely possible for a guy to meet up with someone out of state and purchase a firearm at a gun show person to person without any FFL involvement. and the majority of individuals selling their guns at a gun show don't give a hoot who they sell to just so the guy buying it has the magic green.

an 01 FFL would be a good way to be able to own non-SB15 firearms.

Is this the same for an 03 FFL?

I would think yes. This was one of the major reasons I gave up my 01FFL and my 03 SOT when I moved back into this state.

I'm sure the facts are in the BATF package that a lot of you most likely have in your possession already.

DO you guys get the RED BOOK ? in 2000 it changed to yellow, It may be a different color now. It had a lot of the laws that deal with buying and selling firearms most things a FFL would have to know.

No, it's not the same for an 03 FFL. ATF can only inspect an 03FFL once per year and the inspection can take place at the local ATF office if the 03FFL chooses.

I was just wondering. I have the forms on the way but if I was gonna be anal probed by the ATF often then I would reconsider.

Where is the "I got my FFL and started the OLL craze" option?

And no, I wasn't the sole started, but I was the first FFL to publicly sell them.
www.tenpercentfirearms.com was open from 2005 until 2018. I now own Westside Arms.
