    Massive Recoil!

Man, I feel sorry for this poor rifle. I came across this while on Youtube. The last guy to shoot it was the only one who really had a handle on it.
I hope this hasn't already been shared a bunch of times.

"As to the species of exercise, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise, and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun, therefore, be the constant companion to your walks." -- Thomas Jefferson

The opening of the video shows ".577 T-Rex"

It's been shown a few times, but oh well.

I would not shoot that BUT having said that IF I did I would lean into it a fair bit. And put the whole stock into your shoulder not just the corner... OUUUCCH!

It's Saeed's 577 T-Rex shot in his underground ballistic lab in Dubai, UAE. Saeed owns Accuratereloading.com you can find all the videos there.

A ridiculous rifle, Might be worth it if there were Tyrannosaurs to hunt but otherwise it's just another one of those cases where they would have been better off asking "Should we? rather than Could we?
How will you get that second shot on that charging elephant when you're laying on the ground and the rifle is 5 feet away. It just ain't worth it neither physically nor financially as I'll bet it was $10 every time that gun went off.
There are far too many calibers that will easily get the job done without beating you to death in the process.

                      .375 H&H for me!

Eh, sometimes when you have the money, time and know how, you just ask yourself, "well, why not?" and I figure this was the case..

Kind of like the people on another board that have the know how to swage 40 S&W brass into .44 magnum bullets.. They are bored and they have the time, machinery know how, and just ask, well why not?
