Prices are waaay down on guns now ... wow

Guns that were considered HARD to get are lingering on auction sites with no bids. Private Sales here on Calguns also has very desirable guns listed that seem to stay up longer than compared to the recent past, despite lower asking prices.

Here is a good example (I have nothing to do with this auction). With some of the recent purchases, I am not feeling so good all of a sudden. I was planning on selling/trading some of my duplicates and triplicates for some new toys that i have seen offered, but will now let that pass.

With all said and done, it is still called "Market Correction" and in a way I am happy.

The prices before were based on panic buying. I and others warned that this is a temporary phenomenon, but many thought doomsday was around the corner and the retailers perpetuated that.

I don't think nothing over yet. Pass new laws here in CA and with Obama nothing yet is certain.

Well now that we are on the legal offensive hopefully things will stay like this for the foreseeable future.

Actually, prices are still ridiculously high because prices lag sales in any trend. Prices will be the last to come down even though supply and demand are returning to normal levels. I was at Turner's the end of last week and their stockon guns and ammo looked almost like pre-2007 levels, but their prices are still extremely high. In time, prices will come down as sales slow because of high prices. Be patient and you will be rewarded.

Yeah, I think that may be true. Nothing like perpetuating a good panic to increase sales. And, I don;t think Obama has very high on his priority list any firearms regulatsions especially since he signed the credit card bill with the addendum.

A lot of sales are either going to be buyer's remorse or people who need the money. In either case they're going to want top dollar and will unrealistically hold out hope that some noob is going to overpay.
