Preban mag questions

Hi all , I have a pre ban Sig 228 purchased in 1996 and came with two 13 round mags and I purchases some Megar 15 rounders that same year ,I know these are legal to use .If I want to buy more mags over 10 rounds for this gun is it legal to do so? I have a cousin who would give me his 13 rounders from his same model Sig , I just dont want to break any laws,, thanks for any input on this for I am a noob on this subject

No. Importing new (assembled) high capacity mags has been prohibited since 2000.

Short answer is NO, you can't get any more 10+magazines. That ended in 2001.
