Better get your Privi Partizan now.

The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.

That's terrible news, and to one of my favorite manufacturers. Just pitched in for some more 223 from ammoman.

Was Prvi Partizan a state manufacturer before the privaizations or is it a new brand?

The total value of export deals in 2008 exceeded $600 million.

Serbian Defence Minister Dragan Sutanovac said last week that Serbia had secured a $100 million export deal for weapons and military equipment to Iraq.
With this kind of money being thrown around this'll be a minor hiccup in production. It's Serbia, not California.

still, depending on how much damage was done to the plant. even if serbia, it still takes time to rebuild a factory and replace equipment/resources

I think they're talking about Serbian exports, not Prvi Partizan, but I could be wrong as the article isn't very detailed.

                              Here's the article -

Ammunitions factory explosions kill at least six in Serbia
Four explosions at an ammunitions factory in western Serbia killed six people and wounded at least eight on Thursday, a police official said.

                              Published: 11:06PM BST 03 Sep 2009

Police, firefighters and the military sealed off the area around the Prvi Partizan ammunition factory in the town of Uzice, some 100 miles west of the capital Belgrade, said Deputy Interior Minister Predrag Maric.

"Rescuers found six bodies inside an ammunition loading facility. That's the death toll. The injured people have been admitted to hospital," Mr Maric said.

Prvi Partizan is Serbia's largest ammunition factory. It produces military and hunting ammunition as well as gun powder and explosives.

Mr Maric said firefighters had "doused the fires and there is no danger of more explosions". He did not elaborate about the causes of the blast pending the end of the initial investigation.

Interior Minister Ivica Dacic was on his way to the site, said a ministry spokeswoman.

Serbian defence industries have stepped up production in past two years, mainly exporting to Iraq, Libya, the United States and Burma. The total value of export deals in 2008 exceeded $600 million.

Serbian Defence Minister Dragan Sutanovac said last week that Serbia had secured a $100 million export deal for weapons and military equipment to Iraq.
