    Holster that racks your pistol

I was watching spike tv and saw an awesome holster that racks the slide of a makarov. It's known as the EFA-2 found here:

For a state that mostly only allows unloaded open carry, this looks like something that can cut the time to present the weapon. Does anyone know where to get something locally or if there is something like this for other pistols?

I'm not sure that would help out in "reaction time"

as you would have to insert the magazine into the gun while it was holstered, then rack/pull it.

I wouldn't be able to do that as quickly as if I had just pulled, popped in the magazine and racked the slide... with practice it seems like that could become a 2-3 second ordeal.

untill we really have "position ready to be fired" nailed down tight a full magazine and empty chamber(aka israeli carry) is still loaded according to most officers

to me unless the ammo is in the chamber it is not ready to fire but unfortuantly i am not the king of the world

When I look at how the holster operates, I think of having the mags stored on the small of the back or on the right butt cheek(maybe rig a way to have it stored sideways). With this holster it would just be a matter of sliding a mag in and then push down to have a ready pistol. One less movement to do.

Now does anybody know where I can get one of these locally?

I saw this in action during SpikeTV's Deadliest warrior "Spetznaz vs. Green Beret"

I've seen that Deadliest Warrior episode!

If you want to be tactically sound, I think racking your gun with your own hand is much better. You know 100% that its racked properly and seated...

Plus thats just a Russian spec-ops culture thing. I'd rather have a round in the chamber and draw like every one else on Earth, upwards not downwards.

Plus in a tactical sense, you cant do any type of retention techniques or even perform a Speed Rock if you have to draw downwards. Not very good when someone is charging you or when you are seated. Doesn't sound very beneficial in anyway....

^ Ya, this holster is a fail.
