    S&W 66-1 worth?

Came across a model 66-1 .357 magnum in stainless with Hogue grips.
About 95% in condition. anybody know the worth?

A dash 1 should be pinned and recessed. With the original grips would be preferred. Depending on barrel length and overall condition bottom floor is probably at least $600, if not more in California.

A 2.5 inch would almost certainly command a premium, 4 inch less so as that length is by far most common. A 6 inch will possibly have a slightly overlength barrel, out to 6 1/8 or so as opposed to just barely 6 on most S&W K frames measuring from the forcing cone. No real premium for it, just kind of a curiosity.

$500.......maybe more if you put the factory stocks back on it.

That 5%? of wear can affect value if it is barrel damage or dings or excessive
rounding of sharp "lines" from holstering.

Dude hane you every shoot one with the factory size grips they suck. But for value's sake I understand. Mine has oversized pachymar combat grips.
