    Is Kerleys still around?

    Is Kerley's gunshop still open?

I went in there about two weeks ago, they said that the store is changing hands and should be up and running again in two weeks. I went in today and it was a different guy, he said it would be at least another month. I hope they get it going again.

I'd always remembered Kerley's to be very Expensive. Hopefully that won't be the case.

Kerley's in-store prices were a bit high, but their galleryofguns.com prices were the best in the area.

There is a new owner, and there will be a new license. Just a matter of time.

That's good news. Local stores are good.

I'd bought a couple of guns thru Kerley's and GalleryofGuns.com -- and was very pleased with the prices. When I would go in to DROS the guns I would usually about pass out from the prices under the glass, though...

Local stores are a good thing, and I'm trying to support them; It just kills me though, what the prices are locally. Went to Reeds today and they had a gorgeous case of 1911's; I was interested in what they're charging for a WWII/GI Springfield 1911 -- and it was ~$100 more (before tax and DROS) than a bunch of dealers I see on gunbroker selling the same piece.

It seems like you don't start to find "bargains" locally until you move into the ~$1k MSRP range.

Yes you should be pleased with their galleryofguns prices. They're less than 8% over dealer cost.

And I'm pulling a lazarus on it again....I noticed Kerley's is back on Gunsamerica -- is their storefront open? ...and anybody know if the new owners will reinstate that excellent Gallery of Guns/Davidson's pricing?...

I spoke with them yesterday, and they said they should be up and running again in a couple of weeks.
