Recently I met with another Calgunner to do a simple PPT at Ammo Brothers in Cerritos. I won't mention his name. If he choose to identify himself in this thread that is his choice.
It was a busy day at Ammo Brothers and lots of folks were there to see the latest shipment of black rifles they had just received. I would guess there was about 7 guys in front of us and not long there were 7 behind us.
For those unfamiliar with AB in Cerritos, they have a "take a number" machine at the front counter. Instead of playing the games some FFL's (Gun World, you should pay attention here) and keep shoving you and your PPT to the end of the line that is continuing to grow as new customers walk in behind you. Ammo Brothers works on a first come first served basis as many other do but with the idea that you can shop while waiting and come to the counter when your number is called. I like this way of doing business.
Anyway, me and my Calgunner friend are about to start the paperwork when he realized that he does not have his drivers licence in his wallet. The day before they had been in Laughlin and due to the heat he gave his wife the DL and CC and dropped her off at the front door to go in and get their hotel room [while he stayed in the a/c car -as my Grandpa always told me "this world was made for a thinkin' man!"]. He had forgotten to get it back from her. We thought all was lost, he had driven a long distance and I had drove up from SD County and both of us were tied up for a week or more in the future. That is when Francisco Ponce stepped up.
He was able to do some downloading and my friend was able to access all his DL info from another site where he has it saved and was allowed to bring the actual DL in when he picks up the gun in 10 days. The service was quick, very friendly and maybe most importantly with a "can-do" attitude.
We both agreed that most places would have kicked us to the curb but Ammo Brothers went that extra mile and guess what? They did it with good customer service, pleasentness and very courtious, all for the same $10 profit that others would make and complain about.
Let's face it, we the public don't like the PPT's, sea of paperwork and the fees any more than the FFL's do. But Ammo Brother's took this one for the team and spent a great deal of time when they could have been on to more profitable customers. Instead they have the attitude that whatever your business is when you come through their doors that you should recieve the same great service as the next customer. When it is your turn, and sometimes you do have to wait, you will be given their full attention. It might make the next guy behind you feel he is getting slow service but he will appreciate it if he is paying attention, that he gets 100% of their full attention when it is his turn too!
I have nothing but great respect for Francisco and the guys at Ammo Brothers Cerritos. I am sure with the focus on customer service with a smile, that their business will continue to grow and prosper. I know I surely will not be impatient as I stand in line for quaility service ever again.
Big thanks to Ammo Brother's Cerritos.
Anyone with any questions please feel free to post or pm me.

*sorry it took me a few extra days to post this, I intended to post right away but never got around to it last week.
