    Gunshow Info??

When you purchase a firearm at a gun show do you have to wait 10 days to receive it and if they are far away from where you live in cali do they have to then ship it to another ffl. I want to go to a gun show here in cali but if the prices are bad and you have to wait just like at the store whats the point? Thanks,

I'm not sure about modern firearms, but if it's a c&r long gun there is no wait.

yes, there is still the 10-day wait. if the seller is far away from you, look for a local "transfer dealer" set up at the show that will receive it from the FFL, and then you do the DROS and 10-day wait with that dealer and pick it up at his shop. Or, they could ship it to your FFL to do the DROS and 10-day wait that way.

What's the point, maybe you find a deal. Larger selection of firearms to choose from, etc.

        10 days.

        There are some narrow exceptions.

Usually the FFL with work with you to ensure that picking up the firearm isn't too much of a hardship.

only if it is from a private party CA-resident. Otherwise, it still has to go through an FFL to be DROSed.

Wow this is crazy waiting period on shot guns and regular rifles are redundant especially if you already own a weapon when will they understand its not like we are buying full auto 50 bmgs and with all the hadicaps they put on an ar in cali you think they let you atleast have a 0 or shortend wait period at the gun show. You pay to get in you pay for the rifle you pay if you eat their more people would be happy to go if they knew they were getting a piece of freedom when they left. When I was younger I remmeber goin to the ones in cali and seeing tool knives airsoft pellet guns and things that had nothing to do with and actual firearm.. Some guy got introuble for saleing throwing stars as if those were a deadly weapon. The toyota prius is a deadly weapon just pop the hood attach some long wire cable to it and start slinging not to mention if those things get in a reck boom!!

Thanks for the help !!!! I guess I now know why cali is broke as they could make money by takeing over the ccw issuer field florida makes good money of saleing them after the sherifs make money off the class and then the state makes about 100 every 5 years to reissue your license.... I think I can solve the state budget crisis just let me have a go at it! again thanks alot and I guess I will attend the gun show any way might find a good deal worth driven... Thanks,
